Any Company providing Radiography services will need a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO). The RSO will oversee all codes and regulations regarding the storage and use of category 2 material. The RSO will oversee all daily activities by the crews. Making sure they are performing the work safely and using all safety devices. Ir-192 is what Integrity Testlabs uses the most to perform radiography. We use QSA Global as our service provider of source and equipment. The D/S-880 has been a trusted workhorse for ITL techs out in the field. ITL is still using source projectors that are over 20 years old.

Princeton, NJ ABS Service Provider
American Bureau of shipping is a standard that covers the building, repair and overhauling of vessels ranging from tug boats to container ships. Integrity Testlabs for several years now has been a ABS Service Provider. We are currently one of the only Non-Destructive test companies on the East Coast to have this certification. Integrity Testlabs has provided over 20 years of service to the Philly Ship Yard. We have experience inspecting cargo ships, tankers and Navy vessels that have been built at this facility. We have certified technicians available to handle any RT, UT, MT, PT, Wet Fluorescent Magnetic Particle inspections and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspections needs that arise during your ship building, ship repair, ship maintenance, hull repairs, hull thickness readings, propeller shaft inspection and propeller inspection.

Princeton, NJ API 580
API 580 was developed by the American Petroleum Institute (API) in 2002. It is primarily adopted in oil and chemical refineries for developing programs to track and maintain inspections in keys areas of the piping or equipment that is affected by the process it contains. API 580 is program will keep workers and communities safe from releases or catastrophic failures. Integrity Testlabs has provided support for API 580 by providing Radiographic inspections and Ultrasonic Thickness inspections on piping, shells of exchangers, towers and drums. Radiography provides an actual imagine of the corrosion that is occurring and UT grids can provide a visual by numbers on where wall loss is happening.

ASME B31.1 in Princeton, NJ
Created in the 1930s as a standard code for power piping. ASME B31.1 is a code that provides minimum requirements for safety and guidance for the design of new piping and the repair, modifications and replacement of existing piping. Covering fuel gas and oil systems as well as central and district heating, water and steam systems. ASME B31.1 covers water and steam piping found in all power generation plants throughout the United States. ANST Level I and Assistants
Becoming certified or learning about Nondestructive testing can be achieved in two ways. Enrolling in a school that provides a certificate or degree or getting hired on with a company with no knowledge of the industry and learning on the job. Typically 40hrs of radiation safety is the first step/certificate that is needed to get started. Once the Assistant has had some time in the industry the company will provide them with classroom training either in house, computer based or sending them to a course provided by a known 3rd party. When the Assistants meets the required OJT hours and classroom time. They will test with the company they are with by completing a specific, general and practical exams. When this is completed, they are now a Level II technician.
